Superstar Rajnikanth is seen visiting the top politicians and cinema stars, these days, in order to invite them for his second daughter Soundarya’s marriage. The coming September will witness Rajnikanth’s second daughter’s marriage, which will be arranged in a lavish way. All the preparations are going on in full swing and Superstar along with his wife are busy inviting the relatives and friends.
According to reliable sources, ENDHIRAN which was supposed to release in the month of September has been postponed further and all arrangements are being made to release the big budget movie on November 5th, 2010. Although, there are reports that SUN pictures is striving hard to release the movie in the coming month, director Shankar has asked them for some more time and has assured them that the movie will hit screens on diwali this year.
The special affects and graphics work is said to take more 36 days time and so the release date will only be disclosed, when the first copy is in the hands of director Shankar. Producer Kalanithi Maran, Aishwarya Rai, Rajnikanth, A.R Rahman and director Shankar have worked hard for this movie and let’s hope that the output is lustrous.

Special Features – A human who is not born but is created. He can dance, sing, fight, is water and fire resistant. He can do all that a human can and more. He feeds on electricity. He takes instructions literally. Where a human can lie to save himself this andro-humanoid robot Chitti cannot lie.
Trouble shooting – Where he has a razor sharp memory and can memorize an entire telephone directory by just running through the pages, he cannot understand human emotions. Dr. Vasi upgrades Chitti’s processor and simulates human emotions without realizing the repercussions. Chitti gets transformed. He can now feel, and the first feeling that he discovers is Love.
Will this love come in the way of Dr. Vasi’s purpose of creating Chitti? Will Dr. Vasi’s own creation destroy him?

Director Shankar was in talks with Shah Rukh Khan for Robot (Endhiran in Tamil) but it fizzled out due to reasons best known to the duo. Later, Shankar went on to direct the film with Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead and the film is due to be released in September.
But director Shankar was caught in a fix when Shah Rukh registered the titled Robot and reported to the press that he would soon commence a film by that name. However, the issue was amicably sorted out with the actor-producer transferring the rights on the title to Shankar.

Shankar’s magnum-opus Endhiran has already broken many records. If, for a first, the music was launched in Malaysia, the songs of Endhiran were top-sellers in Apple’s iStore in two days’ time. Being the costliest Indian movie ever, Endhiran now has another feather in his cap. The song "Kilimanjaro" from the Endhiran album is a big hit. Sung by Javed Ali and Chinmayee, this song has been shot in the Machu Pichu mountain range. Situated in Peru, this Lost land of the Incas is one of the wonders of the world.
Now if you are wondering what is the connection with James Bond, read along. Machu Pichu is a UNESCO World heritage site and attracts a lot of tourists from around the world. A request to shoot the James Bond movie ‘Quantum of Solace’ was turned down, a couple of years back, as the place is rarely used for shooting. Now aren’t we proud that Endhiran has been shot in the same place where no commercial film has ever been filmed before? That’s how you beat James Bond round and square!

Last week we reported that Endhiran is the costliest movie to be made in India. Now the movie has added another record to its credit, which even the James Bond sequel Quantum of Solace failed to achieve.
The movie’s song ‘Kilimanjaro’ was shot at Machu Pichu, the protected heritage site at Peru. Shooting permission at the site is hard to get due to the protected site status of the mountains. It is notable that the Quantum of Solace crew was turned down, when they requested shooting permission at these mountains. The Shankar-Rajni duo always seem to achieve the impossible.
