Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was in Chennai city for the promotional event organised by Fiama Di Wills Anti-hairfall shampoo. The actress who was wearing a green dress looked gorgeous.

Padukone, who made her acting debut in the 2006 Kannada film called Aishwarya, says that she is a South-Indian girl.

The following year, the model girl from southern state of karnataka, made her Hindi film debut in the blockbuster movie Om Shanti Om opposite bollywood superstar Shah Rukh KhanShah Rukh Khan directed by Farah KhanFarah Khan. That one movie turned the tide in favour of her and she won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.

“Chennai brings several fond memories to my mind,” says Deepika Padukone. “I have been in Chennai on many modeling assignments which means, on most occasions I have zipped in and out of the city. Never got to spend quality time, but, yes, I love the beach."

"Here beaches are beaches and I would not like to compare them with the Juhu beach of Mumbai,” she chuckles.

And what is the one thing she loves and admires in this city?

“Rajinikanth Rajinikanth – i am looking forward to the release of Robot,” she was very enthusiastic just like a ordinary rajini fan when she uttered that. “I would love to do a film with Rajinikanth.”

The tall and gorgeous actress is looking forward to a period thriller directed by Ashutosh GowarikerAshutosh Gowariker “Working with him is indeed a learning experience. It is set for release in December. Break Ke Baad will release in November. I have done variety of roles in my short career. I sported a retro and a modern look in Om Shanti Om for instance. In ChandniChandni Chowk To China, I have done action sequences as well. I love experimenting with roles,” concludes the first daughter of Prakash Padukone, who is a retired badminton player of international repute.
